Its hard to believe that this is our 20th year running the village garden competition, we have had some fantastic winners over the years. It really is wonderful to recognise the effort and passion that Kilburn residents put into their beautiful gardens. We sincerely appreciate the enjoyment that their luscious displays add to the village.
In previous years a Parish Councillor has trawled every street in Kilburn to short list the top 20 gardens which they believe are the best displays for each category, this list was then given to Parish Council Chair and the Mayor of Amber Valley to decide the top three for each category.
This year we will be seeking input from Kilburn residents to nominate your favourite gardens to be short-listed. Nominations can be for your neighbours garden, a garden that you admire whilst walking, on your daily commute, or even your own garden. These nominations will then form the short list to be judged the same as in previous years. On the Parish council we love the garden competition and want to share the experience with more of our community, that is why we are very excited about this change.

There is no limit to how many nominations you can make so please feel free to submit any front gardens which you spot looking particularly beautiful.
Due to safety reasons only front gardens can be entered into the competition. This is so that judging can take place from the pavement without causing any disruption.
